Spark Plugs

Richard Maraldo from Pennsylvania USA has a MB200 which he has owned for quiet a few years & is now going through a full restoration.

He asked the question as to what are the correct plugs for the model.
During our email contact, Rich has found the NGK web site which gave him the answer, as suprisingly it gave the recommendations for Adler.
At the top of the Home Page :-
Go to Productfinder, Motorcycles, Adler, Engine size.
For the MB200 & MB250 it recommends the NGK B7HS.

For my own MB250 I used the NGK B8HS ( motor runs cooler ) as I always worry about running 2 strokes too hot & the problem of burnt holes in pistons.
They worked OK.
Eventually though I used the Iridium plug BR8HIX as they give better starting & last longer.
Unfortunately they cost about 4 times as much.
Just be careful with using Iridium plugs in old bikes, especially those with magneto's, as they have a built in resistor which magneto's dont like.
